Non Molestation Orders and Occupation Orders
A non-molestation order prevents your partner from threatening violence against you, or intimidating, harassing or pestering you.
An occupation order regulates who can live in the family home and can prevent your partner from entering the property or from coming anywhere near the property.
If you or your children are in danger and you need immediate protection, we can apply for an emergency non-molestation order ‘without notice’ and without your partner being present.
You don’t have to have experienced actual physical violence in order to apply for a non-molestation order. You may apply if you are being intimidated or harassed by your partner or former partner.
There are serious consequences for breaching an injunction. It is a criminal offence to ignore or break a non-molestation order.
